How it works

PNG helps when an editing or publishing workflow does not accept WebP. It supports transparency. Converting a lossy WebP to PNG cannot restore detail that was already lost, and the PNG may be much larger.

What to check before using the result

Animated WebP becomes a single still image. The tool preserves rendered transparent pixels, not original metadata or a source colour profile. Keep maximum dimensions above the original size to avoid resizing.
