How it works
PNG is convenient for workflows requiring PNG input. The rendered picture remains the same after conversion; a larger output file does not mean that lost JPEG detail has been recovered.
What to check before using the result
Conversion cannot remove a background or create transparency absent from the source. PNG can be substantially larger than JPEG. Original metadata is not copied.
