How to use this calculator
- Enter values with a consistent currency and reporting period.
- Calculate to see the result and supporting figures.
- Review the formula and assumptions before using the result.
The formula, explained
Growing from 1,000 to 1,728 over three periods gives a compound growth rate of 20% per period. Use years for annual growth or months for monthly growth; the calculator does not infer a time unit.
Example inputs: starting value 1,000; ending value 1,728; number of periods 3. Result: 20 %.
What to check before using the result
The smoothed rate does not describe each actual period. Start and end values must be positive. Compare equivalent definitions and avoid treating a short spike as a forecast of future traffic.
