How to use this calculator
- Enter values with a consistent currency and reporting period.
- Calculate to see the result and supporting figures.
- Review the formula and assumptions before using the result.
The formula, explained
If acquisition costs total 5,000 and you acquire 100 new customers, CAC is 50. A fully loaded calculation may include sales and marketing labour, agency fees and software as well as ad spend.
Example inputs: total acquisition spending 5,000; new customers 100. Result: 50 per outcome.
What to check before using the result
Use new customers, not all orders or all website visitors. Long sales cycles can make a same-month ratio misleading. A UTM campaign label helps organise visits but does not by itself prove customer acquisition causality.
