How it works
Base64 represents bytes as printable characters. This tool encodes Unicode as UTF-8 first, so accented letters and emoji work correctly. The decoder also accepts the URL-safe - and _ alphabet.
What to check before using the result
Base64 is encoding, not encryption: anyone can decode it. This tool rejects binary data that is not valid UTF-8. It is not a file converter. Avoid sharing secrets simply because they are encoded.
